GEOcaching Scavenger Hunt

A GROWN-UP GAME OF HIGH-TECH HIDE-AND-SEEK

San Antonio RiverwalkSunday, Oct. 30
9:00 am - 4:00 pm

GEOcaching is the widely popular, high-tech game of treasure hunting. So what better place to play than at GEOINT 2005? This 21st century scavenger hunt provides an entertaining opportunity for GPS users to get to "know the earth" and network with fellow fans of the technology by navigating through the streets of San Antonio--while discovering historic, famous, or just interesting sites.

Begin by searching for physical and virtual caches using coordinates to map the location. Then use coordinates to find caches that provide a wide variety of interesting facts or rewards. This full-day event concludes with an awards luncheon along the famous Riverwalk.

Award Categories:

  • Most caches discovered
  • Shortest route to each cache
  • Fastest to each cache

Bring your own GPS unit or rent one as part of your registration package. Advance registration is required and the number of GPS units available is limited.
