HONORING THE WHO'S WHO OF GEOSPATIAL INTELLIGENCE

Join the United States Geospatial Intelligence Foundation in advancing the Geospatial Intelligence sector—through the recognition of outstanding achievement in our field. This annual event honors the most influential and innovative members of the geospatial intelligence community, as well as awarding scholarships to nine students who excel in our tradecraft.

Submit an Award Nomination by Oct. 1, 2005.

Awards

The USGIF sponsors four Awards Programs to recognize influential and innovative members of the Geospatial Intelligence community:

  • The Geospatial Intelligence Academic Achievement Award
  • The Geospatial Intelligence Research Innovation Award
  • The Geospatial Intelligence Achievement Award
  • USGIF Lifetime Achievement Award

Scholarships

Three scholarships will be awarded to students in each of these categories:

  • Students enrolled in an undergraduate-level degree program
  • Graduating high school seniors who will be attending a college or university to study areas related to geospatial intelligence
  • Graduate students enrolled in a graduate program relevant to this field

University Research Award

New this year, USGIF will present an award to a university researcher to recognize research contributions aimed at promoting the geospatial intelligence tradecraft and developing a stronger community among those who apply spatial data and geoprocessing to national security objectives. This award recognizes the academic research project’s efforts to further the tradecraft of geospatial intelligence. Projects the exploitation and analysis of imagery and geospatial information to describe, assess, and visually depict physical features and geographically referenced activities on the Earth.

The deadline for Scholarship Applications and Award Nominations is Oct. 1, 2005.
